These are Pure Hockey's tables, which list Bauer and CCM sizes together. The skate size is the number to look for; the shoe size is the street shoe it matches. Hockey Monkey's senior chart agrees from skate 7.0 up. At the intermediate and senior border the stores differ: Pure Hockey puts US 7.5 and 8.0 at skate 6.5, while Hockey Monkey's senior chart puts US 7.5 at 6.0 and US 8.0 at 6.5.

Width and fit
Hockey Monkey measures foot shape as length divided by width: below 2.5 is traditional, 2.5 to 3.0 is contoured and above 3.0 is tapered. Bauer sells most Vapor and Supreme skates in Fit 1 (narrowest), Fit 2 (medium, suits most players) and Fit 3 (widest). Pure Hockey's conversion of the older D and EE widths:

Questions
What size hockey skates should I buy?
Buy skates about 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller than your street shoe (Pure Hockey, Hockey Monkey). For example, Hockey Monkey says a men's size 11 shoe should try a 10 or 9.5 skate. Always try them on, since sizing varies by maker.
What hockey skate size is a women's size 8?
Pure Hockey says to go 3 sizes down from your women's shoe size, which makes a women's 8 a size 5 skate. Hockey Monkey's guidance for women's skates is the same 3 sizes down.
How should kids' hockey skates fit?
Both stores size kids the same way but allow a little room to grow: Pure Hockey allows a half size extra, and Hockey Monkey says to go only a half size bigger than the fitted size. Do not buy several sizes up.
What are Fit 1, Fit 2 and Fit 3?
They are Bauer's width and volume profiles. Pure Hockey maps traditional D width to Fit 1 or Fit 2 and EE to Fit 2 or Fit 3, depending on the line (for example Vapor D is Fit 1 and Vapor EE is Fit 2). CCM labels its equivalents Tapered, Regular and Wide.
